West Dereham Parish Council has identified a number of headstones in the West Dereham Parish Council Cemetery that may be unsafe. Over the coming month, the Council will be placing discreet red flags next to the identified headstones to highlight potential risks to visitors. In the meantime, the Council asks all visitors to take care when in the cemetery and to avoid touching or leaning on any headstones.
The Council is monitoring the situation closely and will continue to take steps to ensure the safety of all visitors.
Sadly, cigarette butts and roll-ups have recently been found in the children’s playground at St Andrew’s Recreational Ground.
We kindly remind everyone that the playground is a non-smoking area.
All litter, including cigarette ends, roll-ups and general waste, should be disposed of responsibly – either placed in the nearest bin or taken home.
Please help us keep the play area safe and clean for children and families to enjoy.
Thank you for your cooperation.
